It's come to my attention that a lot of people have either never done a forum-based RP before, or are very rusty at it. So, in order to assure that the roleplay goes smoothly, i'll give you the basics of how it works.
Unlike text-based RP, Forum RPs can be a lot slower and have a specific posting order. Typically you make the order yourself. For example, if Bob, Billy and Tom were roleplaying with a forum, and Bob posts first, Tom posts second, and Billy posts third, they will continue that order until the topic ends. This also goes for smaller and bigger groups.
Forum RPs are also different from text in that you communicate a lot more than just dialogue and an action. It's much like writing a story.
Instead of, Username: "dialogue here" *Character action*
It's more like, *Thoughts, descriptions* "dialogue here" *Said character, character action/response* *Continuation of thoughts/descriptions*
If you've written a fanfiction or a short story before, think of it as a one-sided story. The people you RP with finish the other half.
If you have any other questions, or this wasn't clear. Please don't be afraid to ask me for a better explanation or just more info. I'm here to help.
